Fire Police

Volunteer fire police, ages 18 and older, ensure the safety of firefighters at the scene of emergencies. Your duties include directing traffic and crowd control.

Explorer/Junior Firefighter

If you’re under the age of 18 and have an interest in joining we have the perfect spot for you. West Deptford Fire Department has an explorer program for kids ages 14-16 and a junior firefighter program for kids 16-17. Explorers and junior firefighters get the opportunity to learn from experienced, knowledgeable, and veteran firefighters. Once the junior firefighter grows to the age of 18, he or she will be allowed to go through the Firefighter I Course. Volunteering looks great for college resumes!
